2014北外澳研-北大必和必拓澳大利亚研究讲席教授项目翻译比赛通知

比赛简介

为促进中国高校学生对澳大利亚社会和文化的深入了解，北京外国语大学澳研中心联合北京大学、中国人民大学等国内其他澳研中心共同举办澳大利亚文学文化翻译比赛。翻译比赛由北京大学必和必拓澳大利亚研究讲席教授项目和在华澳大利亚研究基金会提供赞助，每年六月份举行，九月份举行颁奖仪式。

 

参赛对象

国内澳研中心的在校学生（本科生、硕士生和博士生）均可参加，参赛学生需提交所在澳研中心的支持参赛证明。

 

参赛要求

参赛者6月9日登陆北外澳研中心网站http://ausc.bfsu.edu.cn/，下载英语原文翻译材料，并于6月30日前把译文连同译者联系信息和所在澳研中心的支持参赛证明用word附件格式发至北外澳研中心电子邮箱australianstudies@bfsu.edu.cn。  

 

奖项设置

翻译作品由评奖委员会评定，评奖委员会成员由来自北外、北大、人大、清华等高校的澳大利亚研究专家组成。

 

奖项共设一等奖一名，奖金3000元人民币；二等奖二名，奖金各2000元人民币；三等奖三名，奖金各1000元人民币；优秀奖四名，各奖励三本重要辞书。对所有获奖者都将颁发获奖证书。

2014 BFSU-PKU BHP Billiton Chair of Australian Studies Program Translation Contest

PREAMBLE

       In order to promote a more profound understanding of Australian society and culture among Chinese university students, the Australian Studies Centre at Beijing Foreign Studies University has initiated the annual Australian literary and cultural translation contest. The contest is kindly sponsored by the Peking University BHP Billiton Chair of Australian Studies Program and the Foundation for Australian Studies in China. The contest will be held annually in June and the prizes will be awarded in September.

 

CONTESTANTS

       All the students of Australian studies across China are eligible for the contest. Contestants are required to submit proof of support from the Australian studies centre in their university.

 

SUBMISSION

       Contestants should log on http://ausc.bfsu.edu.cn/ on 9 June and find the original English texts. The translation with the translator’s contact information should be sent in the attached word format to australianstudies@bfsu.edu.cn by 30 June, 2014.

 

PRIZES

    The translations will be judged by leading figures in the field of Australian studies in China from Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), Peking University (PKU), Renmin University of China (RUC) and Tsinghua University.

       1 first prize, 3000RMB; 2 second prizes, 2000RMB each; 3 third prizes, 1000RMB each; 5 special commendation prizes, three reference books each. All the prize winners will receive certificates of commendation.
